Welcome to Marriage Monday!

Whether this is your first email or you’ve been here for a while, I’m so glad you’re part of this community of like-minded women who are committed to strengthening their marriages. Each week, we come together to be inspired, uplifted, and reminded of the beauty and priority of our marriages.

This past week has been a whirlwind of love and celebration in the Lloyd family! Our oldest son, Payton, married his beautiful bride, Sadie. It has been such a special, busy, and emotional time—filled with love, excitement, nostalgia, and so much joy.

There’s something incredible about watching your child step into the next chapter of their life. As a parent, you feel a mix of emotions—the happiness of seeing them embark on this incredible journey, the memories of their childhood flashing before your eyes, and the awareness that marriage comes with its own challenges and growth opportunities.

A Day Full of Love & Memories

The night before the wedding, both families gathered for an intimate dinner. It was a beautiful opportunity to connect before the busy wedding day. Then, on the big day, we arrived early to set up the venue, surrounded by family and friends, making it all come together.

The ceremony at the Pocatello, Idaho Temple was absolutely beautiful. Even though the weather wasn’t warm, we were blessed with a peaceful day. Afterward, we celebrated with a dinner and reception, surrounded by love, support, and hope for the future. The night ended with a magical sparkler send-off, marking the beginning of Payton and Sadie’s new adventure together.

A Reminder for Our Own Marriages

Witnessing young love in its purest form is inspiring. It takes you back to the early days of your own love story—the excitement, the butterflies, the deep desire to build a life together. And while our love may have deepened over the years, we can’t forget the energy and spark that started it all.

Marriage has seasons. In the beginning, it’s filled with anticipation and discovery. As time goes on, confidence and security grow—but so do responsibilities. It’s easy to shift our focus to kids, work, and life’s demands, sometimes forgetting to nurture the passion and joy that brought us together in the first place.

This week, I challenge you to reflect on your own love story:

  • Think back to your courtship, engagement, and wedding day. What did that love feel like?

  • Look at what you’ve built together—the milestones, the challenges, the victories.

  • Ask yourself: How can I be more intentional about keeping the spark alive?

Marriage isn’t about avoiding challenges; it’s about growing together through them. It’s about choosing each other daily, showing up with love and commitment, and continually strengthening the foundation you’ve built.

As I step into this new role as a mother-in-law (and, one day, a grandmother!), I’m reflecting on what it means to support and nurture the next generation of marriages. I hope to lead with grace, authenticity, and love—learning from the beautiful examples of those who have gone before me.

Here’s to another great week!
